3.3.2 – Weee, Another Buff!

The Korean translation of leaked 3.3.2 patch notes has an item of interest to us elemental shaman:

Shamanism: This talent now increases your Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning spell damage by 4/8/12/16/20% (Up from 3/6/9/12/15%) and Lava Burst spell damage by 5/10/15/20/25% (Up from 4/8/12/16/20%)

Warlocks and boomkin Druids are seeing similar buffs, it seems. Not a ground-breaking enormous buff, but hey, I’ll gladly take anything that’s in the form of a buff. Least it’s not like my days of playing a warrior, where each patch brought on more nerfs…oh wait, guess what? Incoming warrior nerfs with this patch…and not to dps, but prot. Only thing that surprises me is that it took this long for it to get nerfed; having leveled my warrior 70-80 as prot, that meager leveling experience convinced me that a prot warrior could be a force to be reckoned with in pvp, and having watched some prot warriors in action, I was right.

Unrelated to those changes, Arena Season 8 will begin next week, and today the sneak peek of the sets rears it’s head:

Not really fond of the color scheme for the shaman set. Also…is it me, or do most of the melee dps sets remind people of Shredder?

Toravon the Ice Watcher becomes available also. Here’s hoping he’ll drop 251 T10 on 10 man and 264 on 25. Would save folks a LOT of frost badges and/or upgrade tokens. I didn’t make the mistake of buying my set legs first (I did this with T9 and we ended up getting T9 245 elemental legs 2-3 times on guild VoA runs).

Of course, the final wing of ICC will also open, which means we can start working our way towards the final battle with the Lich King. If current end wing bosses are any indication, he will definitely not be a pushover. Fitting, if you ask me.
